Museums and Institutions: Ferguson Museum, New York; North Haven Historical Society, Maine.

We have designed the Ferguson Museum in the Shingle style to be a good neighbor in a historic New York summer community. We are completing a new building for the North Haven Historical Society in Maine, designed to visually complement an adjacent traditional New England barn.

Working with small local institutions involves carefully discerning clients’ needs and sensitively responding to complex programmatic requirements. Designing such buildings with memorable imagery also serves broader goals of strengthening institutional identity and fostering connections with the community.
